Nathan started his career over a decade ago in the land of rugby, sheep and hobbits – New Zealand…
…He cut his teeth editing, shooting, producing and directing anything you could shake a stick at. Directing a high-stakes-winner-takes-all cat show, to art magazine shows which flew him around the world, winning best series at the Qantas Media Awards, two years running.
In 2000 he flipped a coin and headed to London.
Originally finding work as an Avid editor working on short films, music promos and current affairs, he realized that cutting the narrative wasn’t enough, he wanted to create it as well and pursued his real love in life (besides cats) directing. Nathan’s directing experiences have been vast and varied from music show PopWorld to explaining the complexities of life saving surgeries in the BBC’s award winning Bizarre ER. He is excited to working on his first short film At Dawn, which he also wrote.
His strong technical knowledge and lateral approach to storytelling, together with a strong sense of aesthetics make his productions stand out.
Cut to: November 2015, I’ve Moved To NYC. At Dawn the film is about to come out. I’m excited and doughnuts are amazing! Watch this space…
It’s a bit odd writing about yourself in the third person isn’t it?
